Pegah brings together two contrasting colors and a little texture in a hat that looks more involved than it is to knit. Slipped stitches create the pattern while you work with just one color at a time. A simple 4-stitch by 8-round repeat makes it easy to settle into the knitting and watch the fabric develop.
Worked seamlessly in the round from brim to crown, Pegah begins with a ribbed brim and finishes with a neatly shaped crown. The pattern includes both written and charted stitch instructions, making it a lovely project for knitters ready to try slip-stitch colorwork.
Choose two contrasting solids for clear stitch definition, or pair a solid with a color-changing yarn for a different look. Pegah uses smaller amounts of worsted-weight yarn, so you may already have a combination waiting in your stash. My sample uses Knit Picks Wool of the Andes Worsted in Fjord Heather and Brass Heather.
The pattern includes four sizes: Child, Teen, Adult Small, and Adult Large.
The Pegah Hat has been professionally tech edited and test knit, to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
